Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (commensurate with experience) plus benefits and annual bonus

Role Overview:

As an Account Controller, you will take charge of a portfolio of existing customer accounts, emphasising strong relationship management, maximising sales potential, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management: Build and enhance relationships with current clients, positioning yourself as their trusted advisor for fastener products and MRO solutions.
  • Order Management: Efficiently handle sales orders, ensuring timely fulfilment and proactively resolving any order-related issues.
  • Sales Growth: Discover upselling and cross-selling opportunities within your accounts to boost revenue.
  • Technical Expertise: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of MRO products and their applications to offer consultative support to clients.
  • Customer Communication: Act as the main point of contact for clients, swiftly addressing inquiries and resolving issues via phone and email.
  • Market Awareness: Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor offerings to provide strategic insights to your accounts.
  • Collaboration: Partner with internal teams (sales, procurement, technical support) to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • CRM Management: Ensure accurate and current client information is maintained within the CRM system.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Account Management Experience: Proven success in account management or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Relationship Building: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to create rapport and nurture long-term client relationships.
  • Proactive and Sales-Oriented: A natural ability to identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth within existing accounts.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of critical thinking and effectively resolving customer challenges.
  • Attention to Detail: Diligent in processing orders and managing accounts.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in CRM systems and the Microsoft Office Suite.
